Up/Down arrows in cell

I know I can place an image in a cell. The question I'm curious about is that we have a Quantity column and management would like to place a column to that so users can click an up or down arrow to affect the quanity. I could not find a native cell type of this nature, and I'm wondering if I put an image into the cell if I can tell what part of the image was clicked so that I can tell if the user clicked the top or bottom half of the image ie: up or down.
