GRID - 2 separate fields in one column

I would like to have 2 fields in one column/row which can be edited separately.
I.e: Name & Description fields should be in the same column. I want to edit them as a separate fields + want to filter only on the Name field. Is it possible to achieve using standard dhtmlx functions or custom code is needed? Which way would be the best?

There is no way to achieve such behavior with default functionality, but you can combine headers of grid, so both columns will have common header, but data part will have two separate columns ( with separate edit | filtering capabilities )
