dhtmlxGrid : object within object?

I am wondering, in my dhtmlxGrid, my object is my grid. Is it possible to have a block selection of, say, 3 consecutive rows, be an object also?

The rows of grid, are part of main grid, and can't be treated as separate object. 
It possible to detect zone , covered by block selection, and process it through API of grid, but it will be processed just as set of cells, not as separate object
