DHTMLxLayout Controls - Save the collapse state of the pane

we need to Save the collapse state of the pane. For example if we open the page that contain DHTMLxLayout Control with layout type as "3L",Initially pane "a" is in expand mode if i collapse the "a" pane.Next time if i visit same page pane "a" should be collapse mode. How achieve this functionality?
