Upon sorting for Grid, rows disappear

I asked this question a few weeks ago and never got a response, but I'm having issues with the grid losing rows upon sorting a column. I have attached screenshots and sample code to this post:

The only visible caveat in your code - grid.enableSmartRendering command need to be called BEFORE grid.parse
All other are correct and must not cause any problems, the sample which uses the same init code and works correctly is sent by email
