How can i customize columns in grid

Hi ,
can u please tell me how can i customize columns in grid, mean based on user choice i need to display the that many columns in grid..please help needed urgent...if possible please send a sample of it ..Thanking you

You can hide\show column, you can delete\add column. Please see examples here
