Hotkeys

Is there a trick to getting Hotkeys to work in dhtmlxMenus? Can the browser defaults be overridden?

None of my hotkeys work and keys that have same value as browsers (Firefox 3, IE7) don't over ride browser hotkeys. I've removed all hotkeys from my menu but would like to use them if feasible.

dhtmlxMenu does not render hotkey's behaviour, just output them on menubars.
