Using combobox with images - read selected item from CodeBehind?

I am attempting to use the combo box with images/checkboxes and need to read the selected values in the codebehind of my aspx page.

Is there an example? or how does one itereate through the list to get all selected items?

There is no API call for such operation in existing version.
