With your system, can I have it call my own AJAX server calls to adjust my proprietary hier data tables as the users uses the drag-n-drop to remap the hierachy?

The dhtmlxCommon.js contains dtmlXMLLoaderObject which can be used to send GET or POST ajax calls to any server side script.

Having solved the problem mentioned above, you may also look through the possible related problems with readonly select html and javascript calendar for asp.net.
